Dual Gigabit Ethernet and PCI-X PMC (PCI mezzanine card) slots blast through encrypted data. One or two IBM 750FX PowerPC processors power the XCalibur1000. Extreme Engineering Solutions' board follows the PICMG 2.16 standard. Encryption support is based on Broadcom's BCM5821 Super E-Commerce Processor. It handles 4000 1024-bit RSA transactions/s, bulk SSL encryption at 300 Mbits/s, and IPsec at 470 Mbits/s. The single-processor version starts at $5996.
