The HSF series surface-mount resistors now meet or exceed GR1089 lightning strike specifications, allowing the component to provide secondary lightning protection for board-level telecom applications. When subjected to 1 kV with the standard 10 x 1,000 µs profile, the HSF resistors realize a resistance change of less than 0.2%. The resistors feature a power rating of 1W at 70°C and a working voltage of 350V. They are available in resistance values of 5.9?, 11?, 27?, 68?, and 270? with a tolerance of ±10%, and TCRs to ±50 ppm/°C. Maximum operating temperature is +150°C. Custom specs are also available upon request. Typical pricing for the HSF Series resistors is approximately $0.18 each/10,000. IRC INC., Boone, NC. (828) 264-8861.
