Connecting to the USB port of a PC and requiring no software, the RF Combo wireless keyboard incorporates 900-MHz RF technology to allow remote control of the PC distances up to 100 feet with no line of site required. Ready out of the box, users merely have to hot-plug the receiver into a USB port and install batteries in the keyboard and hand-held remote unit to make the system operational. The keyboard operates under Windows 98/ME/2000 and requires no other software; however, by installing software included with the unit, users can tap additional features of the remote-control unit, such as dedicated forward and reverse buttons, user-assignable keypad, and presentation effects. The RF Combo wireless keyboard costs $349 each.
