Laser Sensor Provides Reliable Sensing of Small, Fast Objects

May 1, 1999

By providing background suppression capabilities and a precise sensing zone, the LBS Series convergent beam laser photoelectric sensor is said to be effective for applications requiring the sensing of small objects while ignoring objects beyond the focal point of the sensing beam. A selectable light or dark operate feature and separate power and output indicators make the device easy to set up and operate.Packaged in a rugged zinc housing, the sensor is sealed to IP67. Response time is less than 0.6 ms and the device is powered by 12 to 30 vdc. Applications include wafer mapping, leadframe and disk positioning, pc board detection, and IC inspection, and more.
