Long Life For COM Express

ITOX brings its brand of long-life solutions to COM Express with its new G5C900-B-G module. The module supports Intel’s single and dual core mobile processors courtesy of the Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset. It can handle up to 2Gbytes of 667MHz DDR2 memory.

The 3.75-in by 4.9-in G5C900-B-G module conforms to PICMG COM Express Basic, Type 2 specifications. It incorporates an onboard PCI Express-based Gigabit Ethernet controller, Intel GMA 950 graphics, four Serial ATA (SATA) interfaces, an Ultra ATA 100 interface, a CompactFlash Type II interface, four COM ports, six USB 2.0 ports, a pair of PS/2 ports plus audio support with S/PDIF In/Out. The display support includes a dual-channel LVDS DFP interface, a VGA port that supports resolutions up to 2048 by 1536 and a TV out connector. The board is priced at $465.

The COM630-B-G COM Express Development Board is also available. It includes the following slots: a PCI Express x16, two PCI Express x1, a PCI Express Mini socket, an Express Card interface, plus 4 PCI slots. There is also a Gigabit Ethernet port.
