Two new members of the company's S Series PCI data acquisition boards provide simultaneous-sampling rates up to 3 Msamples/s on desktop PCs. The PCI-6133 and PCI-6132 boards include eight and four channels of simultaneous sampling at rates up to 3 Msamples/s, respectively; 14 bits of resolution; four signal input ranges; analog triggering; eight hardware-timed digital I/O lines and two counter/timers. Two other new S Series boards, the PCI-6123 and PCI-6122, include eight and four channels of simultaneous sampling at rates of 500 ksamples/s, respectively; 16 bits of resolution; four signal input ranges; analog triggering; eight hardware-timed DIO lines and two counter/timers. All are well suited for general-purpose data acquisition as well as automated test, ultrasonics, ballistics, acoustics, high-energy physics and radar applications. The dedicated a/d converter per channel architecture of the boards is said to provide a much higher aggregate sampling rate compared to traditional multiplexed data acquisition devices. Priced from $1,495, the boards seamlessly integrate with the company's software including NI-DAQmx, SignalExpress, LabVIEW, VI Logger data-logging software, the LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit and the LabVIEW Signal Processing Toolkit.
