Managing CompactPCI

A PICMG 2.9-compliant shelf manager is the centerpiece to Performance Technologies' IPnexus Advanced Managed Platform line of CompactPCI racks and boards. The $999 Linux-based CPC7301 supports the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) along with in-band and out-band Gigabit Ethernet. The IPnexus line also includes a new 325W ZT 6314 power supply ($455) and RTM4820 Read Transition Module ($298). New rack-based cooling technology handles up to 50 W of heat per board.
