The WED3C741016M-400BX multi-chip package (MCP) combines a PowerPC 7410 AltiVec RISC processor with a 2 MB, SSRAM level 2 cache. Targeting embedded control applications, the combination of the 7410 processor and two 8 Mb SSRAM devices on a single interposer promises board-space savings up to 60% compared to discrete approaches. The device comes in a ceramic BGA package measuring 21 mm x 25 mm x 525 mm2. Additional features include low inductance and capacitance and a reduced I/O count of 255.
