Users of the Versa 8051 microcontroller development kit should experience faster programming and in-circuit debugging via the addition of a USB-based JTAG interface. The VJTAG-USB, a USB-based JTAG interface, will ship with the VersaKit-30xx, a comprehensive evaluation platform for system prototyping and design development that employs the company's VRS51L2070 and the FRAM-Enhanced VRS51L3074 MCUs. The kit operates on Windows-based computers with USB interface capability and can be used independent of the kit's development board to program the MCUs on other target hardware. The kit includes a development board with a VRS51L3074, VJTAG-USB in-circuit programming/debugging interface, USB cable, and a power supply. Price is $49 each.
