Measuring Interface Scrutinizes PFC Systems

Oct. 21, 2010
The MMI7000 universal measuring device is used to measure and control the most important grid parameters in a PFC system, immediately detecting harmful conditions such as high harmonic content.

The MMI7000 universal measuring device is used to measure and control the most important grid parameters in a PFC system, immediately detecting harmful conditions such as high harmonic content. Performing three-phase measuring, it displays and records values and can be used with a PF controller for external measurements. Measuring 144 mm x 144 mm, the MMI7000 is suitable for switchboard mounting. Other features include an easy-to-use graphical menu and an integrated help function. Supported languages include English, German, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. The MMI7000 can measure and display three-phase voltage, current, frequency, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, and harmonic of voltage up to 51st, harmonic of current up to 51st, three-phase THD-V, and three-phase THD-I. Three versions of the MMI7000 are available and pricing varies from $350 to $500 per unit depending on version. TDK-EPC CORP., Iselin, NJ. (800) 888-7729.
