Designed for use with handheld computers, PDAs, MP3 players, digital cameras, and other electronic products requiring a high-speed data transfer interface in a compact package, the Mini USB connector series has a low profile and occupies a minimal amount of pc board real estate. Designed to facilitate development of next-generation portable products, the series consists of Type A, B and AB connectors. Product variations include board-mount receptacles and cable plugs, both of which meet the requirements of the USB 2.0 specification. Type AB connector is compliant with the On-the-Go supplement (Rev 1.0) to the USB 2.0 spec for dual-role devices. Mini USB connectors are shielded for EMI protection, polarized to prevent mis-mating, and rated for 5,000 mating cycles. The connectors support data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbps and power requirements of up to 500 mA. More details are available from METHODE CONNECTOR PRODUCTS, Rolling Meadows, IL. (847) 392-3500.
