Three new 60W, 300 vdc input, high-density dc-to-dc converters- PicoVerter Model pV300-12, Model pV300-15, and Model pV300-24- provide outputs of 12, 15, or 24 vdc, respectively, and are designed for circuit board mounting in telecomm and other distributed power or centralized modular power applications. The pV300 series modules are compatible with firm's power factor corrected ac front-end converters for universal ac to 5V, 12V, 15V, or 24 vdc applications. The modules produce up to 60W in a low-profile package measuring just 0.42" x 2.3" x 2.4". Other features include industry-standard pin-out, high efficiency, constant frequency operation, non-shutdown overvoltage protection, logic on/off, remote sensing, and safety agency compliance. The modules utilize metal pc boards, planar transforms and SMT construction to produce full power in still air, 35ºC ambient environment without a heatsink.
