In conjunction with TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH & Co., the company has announced the TMCM-303 and TMCM-310 triple-axis controllers. The TMCM-303 is a 1-3 axis stepper controller with an output current of up to 1.5A/phase. Capable of supporting 16x microstepping, it can be remote controlled by a host via CAN, RS-232 or RS-485 interfaces. Features include a built-in ramp generator for autonomous positioning and speed control, on-the-fly alteration of target motion parameters such as position, velocity and acceleration, and eight 10-bit ADC inputs. Size of a standard format TMCM-303 is 80 mm x 50 mm. The TMCM-310 has all of the attributes of the TMCM-303 but with a number of additional features such as an RS232 level shifter, two optional 12-bit ADC inputs, an SPI controllable by an external master, and a reset button. Size of the TMCM-310 is 160 mm x 100 mm. Both controllers provide a complete software development environment by way of the integrated Trinamic Motion Control Language (TMCL).
