Designed specifically for pc-board mounting, the DA22 series power-entry modules integrate built-in overload protection, maximum power density, and EMC filtering. Overload protection is supplied by a 1-pole or 2-pole shock-safe fuse holder for 5- by 20-mm fuses. The device optimizes EMC protection by placing the filer and shielding directly at the point of entry. The compact, multifunction unit requires less board space and minimizes assembly time compared to the use of discrete components. The DA22 is rated for up to 10 A at 125/250 V ac. With a standard or medical filter, the IEC 60320 C14 inlet is cURus- and ENEC-component approved for use in appliances in accordance with IEC 60950. The fuse holder, which is accessible from the front end, is offered in standard or extra-safe versions, which meet the medical standards of IEC 60601-1. DA22 prices start at just over $10 in 100-piece quantities. The fuse holder is sold separately. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA. (707) 636-3000.
