A new NEMA 4/12 panel PC has been designed with a 15" sub-bright 1,750-nit display, and is suitable for use in brightly lit areas of labs or shops. Powered by either a 1 GHz Pentium III or 850 MHz Celeron processor, the SRD panel PC features a 9.5" PCI expansion slot for standard 32-bit 5V PCI boards, and network-ready I/O. Two Ethernet LAN ports are included, one RS-232/422/485 and three RS-232 serial ports, two USB ports, two enhanced parallel ports, eight digital I/O ports, an IrDA port, and support for as many as four hard drives. Besides panel mounting, 75 mm and 100 mm VESA holes allow for swivel-arm mounting, while an optional kit permits rack mounting. CYBERRESEARCH INC., Branford, CT. (800) 341-2525.
