Adding to the company's NET+ARM microprocessor family, the NS9360 is described as a cost-effective option for users adding out-of-band management or networking capabilities to their products. Based on the ARM 926EJ-S processor, the device provides an array of interfaces including 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, a memory controller, USB (host/device), an LCD controller, I2C, IEEE 1284, four serial ports, and up to 73 GPIOs. It operates at speeds up to 177 MHz and is available in a 272-pin PBGA that measures 27 mm x 27 mm. Similar to other family members, the processor is supported by the NET+Works package, which includes a development board, JTAG debugger, GNU or Green Hills multi tools, board-support package, the Threadx real-time operating system, a TCP/IP stack, and a suite of device-networking applications. Price for the NS9360 ranges from$10.95 to $15.45 each/10,000. NETSILICON INC., Waltham, MA. (800) 243-2333.
