The CPCI-910, a network processor blade for Internet Protocol (IP) processing, incorporates dual Intel IXP network processors to achieve multigigabit/s data rates. With a 6U CompactPCI form factor, the board also integrates a 14-port multilayer Gigabit Ethernet switch fabric and Teja NP software support for developing Intel network-processor applications. It supports layer 2 routing, layer 3 IP forwarding, packet filtering, and packet analysis. The CPCI-910 offers up to 10-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for applications such as quality of service (QoS) and network address translation (NAT). It provides up to 256 Mbytes of SDRAM per IXP as well as 8 Mbytes of SSRAM and flash memory per IXP. The company's Sentinel PCI-to-PCI bridge ensures universal-slot capability. The board also includes one 32-bit, 33-MHz ProcessorPMC slot for expansion of I/O or processor functionality. The CPCI-910 is available now with single-unit pricing starting at $5989.
