Four new families of power inductors have been developed for use in low-profile applications. Called Power Wafer inductors, the devices each measure less than 2 mm high, with one family managing to sit a mere 1.19 mm above a pc board's surface. The power inductors are available in inductance values of up to 1000 µH and in saturation current ratings up to 6A.
