Designed for high-power, current-sensing chores, the company's open air resistors (OARs) employ a flow-through design that keeps their hot spots off the printed-circuit board, allowing air to circulate around them. The OARS series components are rated for 1W at 85°C and can handle surge currents up to 100A for one second with minimal or no change in resistance. Resistance values range from 2 to 50 mW with tolerance to ±1%. Other features include TCRs as low as ±20 ppm/°C and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. Prices range from $0.19 to $0.23 each in OEM quantities. INTERNATIONAL RESISTIVE COMPANY INC., Boone, NC. (828) 264-8861.
