A wide range of sizes and capabilities make-up a family of one-time programmable (OTP) chips. The family includes: the C505L, claimed as the first 8-bit microcontroller with on-chip LCD controller and driver; the C504, an 8-bit µC with 16k OTP memory and powerful PWM unit; and the C505CA, a microcontroller with 32k on-chip OTP and CAN 2.0B on board. Targeted applications include consumer, industrial and automotive. All chips are 8-bit and 16-bit derivatives. In total, the 8-bit family comprises OTP versions of C501G, C504, C505CA, C513, C515C, while the first OTP product of the 16-bit family is the C164CI. Other key applications for OTPs include washing machines, digital terminals, satellite receivers and video recorders.
