PC Cards Tag MIL-STD-1553

Designed to interface to MIL-STD-1553 databuses, the CM1553-3 PC Cards offer eight models that are claimed to provide features previously found only on large expansion cards. Four models in the series are available either in a rugged, milled aluminum Type III case or a smaller Type II case. All models can function as a bus controller, remote terminal, or monitor on the MIL-STD-1553 databus without host-computer intervention.
An on-board digital-signal processor handles all related databus activity. Advanced versions of the card provide multiple terminal simulation for up to 32 terminals, concurrent monitoring with filters, and selective protocol-error injection.
Software support includes drivers, an application program interface (API), and an optional graphical user interface (GUI). The API library provides access to the card hardware. The optional GUI enables user interaction and control with a few mouse clicks. Prices start at $3195.
