The MPC196 board adds 96 GPIO lines to a PC/104 system, while the MPC148 adds 53 lines plus three 16-bit timers, an octal dual-inline-package switch, and eight LED indicators. All digital I/O lines are available as 50-pin ribbon cable connectors. Operation ranges from −40°C to 85°C. The MPC148 costs $110, and the MPC196 goes for $125.
