Designed for rugged, industrial applications, the EBC-855-G-1.8-1 EBX-compatible, single-board computer supports a 1.8-GHz Pentium M processor and operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C. The RoHS-compliant SBC employs an 855GME chipset with an integrated ICH communications controller and an Extreme Graphics 2 3D video controller. It supports up to 1 GB of PC2700 SDRAM, up to 8 GB of compact flash memory, plus floppy and hard disk drives. I/O interfaces include a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port with remote boot capability, VGA and dual-channel LVDS flat panel video, a miniPCI connector for an 802.11 wireless networking module, four USB 2.0 ports, four serial ports, AC'97 audio (5.1 codec), parallel port, and a PS/2 port. A software-programmable, 48-line digital I/O controller provides input, output, or output with read back for each I/O line. Further I/O expansion is possible via on-board PC/104 and PC/104+ connectors. Operating system support includes Windows XP embedded, Linux, QNX, and VxWorks. In addition, the SBC comes with software development tools that include device drivers and libraries.
