Pitch Switch Adapters Net Small Conversions

Jan. 1, 2001

The smallest 64-pin, 0.5-mm TQFP to 0.8-mm QFP conversions are possible with the Correct-A-Chip pitch switch adapters. The series of adapters facilitates cost-effective components replacement of obsolete or unobtainable fine pitch ICs. They can be used when switching package styles of the same IC or even multiple component replacement of a chip. The adapters permit the upgrading process to occur without changing a pc board layout.
The pins of the adapters are manufactured of 301 full hard stainless steel, per UNS C36000 ASTM-B16085. Pin plating is of 200µ min. 93/7 tin and lead per MIL-P-81728 standard over 100µ min. nickel per QQ-N-290. Operating temperature ranges to 105°C. Pricing is $31.50 each/100.
