Described as the market's smallest mouse, the 10 mm x 10 mm x 1.4 mm MicroNav pointing device brings 360° navigation to small portables, such as cell phones, PDAs, tablet PCs, and digital cameras. The device is available in three standard configurations: sensor on board, chip and sensor, and drop-in module with mouse-click buttons. The drop-in module supports reflow soldering techniques and pick-and-place machinery for high-volume consumer production. Employing the company's patented force sensing resistor technology, the device is said to be easily integrated into portable devices while providing smooth, pressure-controlled cursor acceleration and a comprehensive set of actuator designs. Price for the sensor-only configuration in consumer quantities is about $1 each. For further information, contact INTERLINK ELECTRONICS INC, Camarillo, CA. (805) 484-8855.
