Expanding the AirMax VS backplane power-connector family are the 2x3 AirMax VS power connector for users requiring additional power delivery but lack the board space for two adjacent 2x2 connectors and a 2x2 connector designed to match the 11.5-mm height of VS three-pair signal connectors. The lower vertical profile makes the power modules fit on the same 16.7-mm slot pitch as the three-pair signal connectors. Each of the additions are available as a right-angle header and a vertical receptacle and specify a current-carrying capacity up to 20A per contact and a voltage rating of 150V. The connectors can also team with the company’s Millipacs 2-mm, hard-metric backplane connector system. Samples are available with production lead times of eight weeks. Typical prices start at $7 per connector set.
