Precision Boosted In SOT23 Voltage Dividers

Oct. 8, 2008
TT Electronics' DIV23 series voltage divider, which uses TaNFilm (tantalum nitride) on silicon technology, has an extended resistance range to 200 kilohms.

The DIV23 series voltage divider uses the patented self-passivating TaNFilm (Tantalum Nitride) on silicon technology and features an extended resistance range to 200 kilohms. Tantalum nitride does not dissolve when exposed to moisture and voltage, making it a much more stable solution for applications in harsh environments. The surface-mount devices have an element power rating of 100 mW and a package power rating of 1.0 W at 70°C. Resistance ranges from 10 ohms to 200 kilohms per resistor, with an absolute tolerance to ±0.1% and R1 ratio tolerance to ±0.05%. Absolute TCR is 25 ppm/ºC, and tracking TCR is down to 2 ppm/°C. Rated operating voltage is 100 V. Operating temperature range is from -55°C to 125°C. The DIV23 dividers come in SOT23 packages, with R1 connecting to pin 1 and R2 connecting to pin 2. Measuring just 0.1125- by 0.051-in. with a board-mounted profile of 0.0305 in., the dividers are available in standard tape and reel packaging and are compatible with high-speed assembly equipment and solder processes. The devices are available with either RoHS-compliant or Sn/Pb terminations. Typical pricing for the DIV23 voltage divider starts at $0.59 each in quantities of 1000. Lead time is from stock to 10 weeks. TT ELECTRONICS IRC, Corpus Christi, TX. (361) 992-7900.
