Processor Engine Delivers Basic I/O

Designed for general-purpose computing, control and serial I/O functions, the PMC860, MPC860-based PMC processor engine board operates at 40 MHz. The board routes its I/O lines to the front and rear panel connectors, taking full advantage of the MPC860's I/O capabilities.
The board has a 32-bit data path and supports up to 64 MB of DRAM. An optional 4-, 8-, or 16-MB flash EPROM can be programmed in to the circuit. Other features include four multi-protocol serial channels, one of which is Ethernet capable,with a maximum transfer rate of 2.4 kb/s asynchronous and 8 kb/s synchronous, and two asynchronous serial channels with a maximum transfer rate of 220 kb/s.
