Using a serial communication link, the AF200 Flashwriter is a portable instrument designed to write to flash built into embedded microcontrollers. There is no need to remove the microcontroller from the board, and the instrument's portability lets users modify memory in the field.Users can download and edit object files on the Windows 98/NT interface and then either download directly to the AF200 data buffer, or to the control module card plugged into the instrument. Once the code is loaded onto the control module, the user can perform nearly all functions of the Windows interface from the instrument's front panel. The instrument supports a wide range of MCUs.
