Designers can add 1.27-, 1.00- and 0.8-mm pitch BGAs to breadboards with this line of BGA and Chip Scale Package prototyping adapter boards. For testing, designers simply plug the adapter onto a prototyping board with a 2.54-mm center grid, surface-mount the IC to the board, and the prototype is ready to operate. Extra jumper pads are included on both sides for custom wiring and additional circuitry.
Designers can also remove a problem BGA or CSP component from production boards, install the component on the prototyping adapter, and test it outside the circuit. This is accomplished by attaching a test socket to the prototyping adapter and wiring the adapter to a test instrument. Pricing starts at $75.00 each.
