Service providers wishing to pack more lines in a telecomm equipment rack can turn to the Titanium Fourte chipset, a quad ADSL chipset that solves central office (CO) space limitations. The chipset, with its fully programmable digital signal processing engines, solves this problem by providing what's claimed as the industry's highest port density solutions in a multimode chipset that supports all variations of ADSL. As a result, DSL equipment manufacturers can design DSL Access Multiplexers on to boards that are some 30% smaller than competing solutions, it's claimed. The chipset features power consumption as low as 700 mW per port, enabling DSL equipment manufacturers to design for the lowest power dissipation.
