Based on the low-power Motorola AltiVec processor, the 6U Model 4294 VME board serves high-end signal-processing applications. It's configured with four MPC7410 PowerPC processors and provides up to 16 Gflops of floating-point signal processing. The Model 4294 has four identical processor nodes containing interface and memory resources matching the I/O capabilities of the MPC7410 to system interfaces. Each node includes its own Galileo GT-64260 node controller for connecting the PowerPC to local memory, to application-specific VIM I/O modules, and to shared global resources. The Galileo controllers integrate two independent 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI bus interfaces for each processor. The company's VxWorks Board Support Package (BSP) and Drivers, Model 4996, includes a complete library of hardware initialization, control, and application functions. Pricing for the Model 4294 VME board starts at $15,995. The VxWorks BSP package is available by subscription starting at $4000 or on a per option basis. All products are available immediately.
