Quad Processor VME Board Takes On DSP Chores

The Model 4295 packs four MPC7410 PowerPC processors into a 6U virtual-machine-environment (VME) board. A VIM (Velocity Interface Mezzanine) and PMC (PCI mezzanine card) site provide expansion possibilities. Each processor can access the PMC slot, and two can access the VIM slot. Three on-board 64-bit PCI buses provide interprocessor communication. The Model 4295 comes in 400- and 500-MHz versions with up to 128 Mbytes of local memory for each processor. Pricing starts at $15,995.
