Capable of delivering up to 25A of output current without the need for an attached heatsink, the PowerQor QN series of quarter-brick-sized isolated dc/dc converters use MOSFET synchronous rectifiers, as well as a fixed switching frequency converter topology, to achieve high efficiencies, even at very low output voltages. By providing efficiencies of 87% for a 3.3V unit at 25A, the board reduces dissipated heat by more than 50% over competing products, it's claimed. The product line includes output voltages of 15V, 12V, 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 2.0V, 1.8V and 1.5V. With a standard footprint of just 1.45" x 2.3", the converters are said to provide significantly better derating performance than competing products that use an attached heatsink.
