Taking aim at harsh office or light industrial markets, the VXL414 is a 4U, 19" rack-mount enclosure featuring a 14-slot ISA or PCI/ISA PICMG-compliant passive backplane with built-in dc cooling, high-quality ac and dc power supplies, and drive bays. It offers a choice of 250W ac, 400W ac and 300W dc power supplies, and a variety of magnetic media. It accepts all of the firmís high-performance single-board computers as well as competitive PICMG-compliant CPUs. Storage devices such as hard disks, floppy drives, CD-ROMs, and tape drives can be installed in the three front accessible 5.25" drive bays with a dedicated side slot for a 3.5" floppy disk drive or similar device. Applications include telecom, datacom, imaging, industrial automation, and data acquisition.
