Reference Design Yields Flyback Power Supply

Aiding designers of flyback topology ac/dc power-supply circuits, the IRISMPS4 reference design employs the company's IRIS4009 ac/dc switcher as the main switch and control device. The IRIS4009 combines a control IC and a HEXFET power MOSFET in a single 5-pin package. Comparable to a discrete topology, the device claims to reduce part count and board space by 25%.
