Designed for overcurrent protection of sensitive communication circuits, the SMD030-2018 is the newest member of the SMD family of PolySwitch PPTC (Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient) surface-mountable resettable fuses. With a typical on-board resistance of 1.4 ohms, the device features a 40% smaller size (5.0 mm x 5.0 mm) and 10% faster trip times compared to the first generation SMD030 parts.
The new resettable fuse helps protect powered LAN switches and power patch panels against potential power fault hazards. Price: $0.30 each/100,000.
