Available in two models, the Summit LX Series is designed specifically for reworking large format boards and backplanes. Two models, the Summit 1100LX semi-automated rework system and the Summit 2100LX automated rework system, are reported as being the industry's most advanced, easy-to-use component removal and replacement systems for SMT components.
The LX Series is optimized for larger pc board assemblies up to 24" x 36" in size. Other features include user-friendly controls, high energy heating capacity and greater bottom area heating coverage, an enlarged frame and board support table, improved motorized top heater, and enhanced optics. The systems can remove and replace BGAs and CCGAs, small chip-scale packages, flip-chips, and fine pitch components. They are also suited for high volume production rework.
