Addressing embedded applications that require dynamic multimedia and data processing capabilities, the ECM-5710 single-board computer (SBC) employs a Pentium 4 or Celeron processor with an SiS 651 chipset and a 533 MHz front side bus to achieve operating speeds up to 3.06 GHz. A single socket accommodates up to 1 GB of DDR 333 SDRAM. In terms of multimedia, the board integrates an AGP4X 2D and 3D graphics engine that supports LCDs and CRTs with a frame buffer up to 64 MB. It also supports TV-out and LVDS via two digital-graphics inputs. The TV encoder outputs resolutions up to 1,024 x 768 in either NTSC or PAL formats and the LVDS transmitter operates at pixel speeds up to 165 MHz per link. Other features include AC97 2.0 compliance and optional support for line-in and line–out, microphone, CD audio in, and speaker out.
