SBC Hastens Test Instrument Development

Designed specifically as a low-cost turnkey solution, the SBC488A programmable single-board computer (SBC) boasts a fully integrated C development environment and an IEEE-488 GPIB controller . The board is suited for a wide range of power supply, RF test equipment, and laboratory-instrument applications.
The GPIB may be found in various test environments and is commonly used to control such devices as RF signal analyzers and switching arrays, digital voltmeters, data loggers, programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and more. Measuring 6.5" x 4" with power requirements of 2W at 7 to 24 Vdc, the board with 32 KB of SRAM is priced at $395 each.
