Deployable in harsh environments, the SVME/DMV-182 single-board computer (SBC) includes a dual-channel MIL-STD-1553B interface without relying on a PMC mezzanine module. The single-slot VMEbus board packs two 64-bit PMC sites. A proprietary interface personality module (IPM) supports integration of MIL-STD-1553B channels without impacting the PMC sites. It also provides backward pin compatibility with earlier generations of PowerPC SBCs, as well as permitting the addition of new I/O interfaces. Bus controller, remote terminal, and bus monitor (BC, RT, MT) modes, independently selectable for each channel, are also supported. Board features include dual PowerPC 7455/7457 processors rated at up to 1.3 GHz, up to 1 GB of DDR SDRAM with ECC, 128 MB of flash memory, six serial ports, and two USB 2.0 ports. Pricing starts at $11,950. For more details, call Ian Stalker at DY 4 SYSTEMS INC., Ontario, Canada. (613) 599-9199.
