SBC Performs Fast PCI-to-VMEbus Transfers

Boasting of high VMEbus transfer rates and a low price tag, the BII 3U single-board computer (SBC) employs a VME-to-PCI bridge that can support VMEbus slave or burst transfer rates of up to 13 MB/s and master or single-cycle transfers of up to 7 MB/s. The interface makes use of only 1 MB of dual-ported SRAM. Other features of the SBC include two serial interfaces, up to 256 MB of SDRAM, up to 200 MB of CompactFlash, and ports to an IDE disk drive and USB. Support packages for Linux, VxWorks, and OS-9 are available. Price starts at $990 for single units.
