Powered by a Pentium-compatible Geode GX1 processor, the EC6 single-board computer (SBC) comes to market with scalable processing power, low power dissipation, and a number of other features that are expected to help it gain use in data acquisition, process control, digital printer, information system, and a host of other applications. In addition to accepting processors with speed ratings from 200 to 333 MHz, the new embedded PC platform also features an integrated power supply filter, fanless cooling, and PC/104+ extension slots for modular expansion. The SBC also offers flexible DRAM configurations up to 512 MB and an array of peripherals and interfaces. Several supply voltage options are available, too.
