Supporting the Pentium M microprocessor that operates at clock speeds up to 1.6 GHz and the E7501 chipset for a total system bandwidth up to 4.3 GB/s, the CPCI-745 single-board computer (SBC) complies with the PICMG 2.16 standard for packet-switching backplanes (PSB). The board also includes dual on-board Gb Ethernet interfaces and the company's Sentinel64 universal-mode 64-bit PCI-to-PCI bridge. Other features include support for up to 2 GB of DDR SDRAM, hot-swap support as outlined by the PICMG 2.1 R2.0 specification, and a number of high-bandwidth rear I/O configurations. Further enhancing the board's functionality are options such as a choice of either a compact flash drive or a hard-disk drive.
