A step-up switching regulator with a 300-mA switch, the LT3460 is housed in either an SC-70 or ThinSOT package. The regulator's 1.3-MHz constant switching frequency combines with the part's integration and small package size to make possible a complete design (regulator plus external passives) that fits in just 40 mm2 of board space. Operating from a 2.5- to 16-V input, the regulator produces an output as high as 36 V. Pricing starts at $1.50 each per 1000.
