The CompuScope 8500 A/D and scope card for the PCI bus now has 2 GB of on-board acquisition memory. The memory can accept A/D data at sample rates up to 500 MSPS. Capture into the ultra-deep memory proceeds with no intervention by the CPU and imposes no traffic on the PCI bus. Consequently, users can analyze, process or display data while the card is capturing data. Ultra-deep acquisition memory is well-suited for applications where continuous capture for an extended period of time is required. Examples include characterization of digital TV, network or other communications signals. Price of the 8500 CompuScope card with 2 GB acquisition memory is $29,995.
