A line of board-mount wire connectors now includes a two-position vertical screwless wire connector that is a cross between a conventional board mount connector and a terminal block. The part gives designers a poke-in alternative to soldered, direct wire-to-board terminations. The contacts carry a 2A current rating and may be re-terminated up to five times. The connector contacts are spaced on 3.5 mm staggered centerlines and are rated at 600 Vac. Individual wire retention is rated at 5 lb. The housing is molded from UL94 V0 rated PBT with copper alloy contact material and tin-lead plating over nickel. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
