Serial I/O Card Supports High-Density Settings

Available with eight or 16 asynchronous serial ports, the MCCS Sierra serial I/O card is a 6U module for CompactPCI applications. The device supports individual data rates up to 1.5 Mbps and a maximum aggregate throughput of 48 Mbps full duplex. Independent baud rates for each port and a wide variety of I/O interfaces allows tailoring to fit users’ needs.The board features a 16550 UART-style serial I/O application interface and 64-byte-deep FIFOs. Its four-port serial line interface conditioning modules allow it to handle diverse line-level requirements.
