Allowing components to be mounted closer together on pc boards, the SMRF 2025S series inductors integrate shielding into the inductor via a sleeve of magnetic material wrapped over the coil.

Allowing components to be mounted closer together on pc boards, the SMRF 2025S series inductors integrate shielding into the inductor via a sleeve of magnetic material wrapped over the coil. The shielding is said to generate less than 2% coupling as opposed to distributed gap materials that typically yield 3% to 5%. The inductors are available in values from 10 to 10,000 µH and current ratings from 54 mAdc to 3.9A, with custom designs also available for user-specific applications. The operating temperature range is from 35°C to 90°C. Pricing in production quantities is $0.81 each. Gowanda Electronics, Gowanda, NY. (716) 532-2234.
