The Shield-Lite EMI shields are constructed from a new material that is claimed to provide the lightest weight solution available on the market. The new material is offered for custom designed shielding solutions as well as in standard off-the-shelf product lines. In contrast to traditional materials, the new material is half has dense, creating a significant weight reduction. In addition to being low in weight, enhanced thermal properties effectively remove heat generated on the board and provide better long-term reliability. The new material is packaged in standard tape and reel formats and is available in many JEDEC sizes.
